1. what beeing collects
when you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password. when you use the app, we store your mood check-ins, journal entries, and usage data (such as which tools you use and how often) to provide you with personalized insights and a better experience.
2. how we use your data
your data is used to:
- show you your mood patterns and insights over time
- generate your personalized weekly beeing check letter
- provide smart coping suggestions based on your patterns
- personalize your experience within the app
- improve beeing's features and performance
3. what we don't do
- we never sell your data. period.
- we never show you ads.
- we never share your journal entries with anyone — including us.
- we never track you across other apps or websites.
- we never use your data for targeted advertising.
4. data storage and security
your data is stored securely using supabase with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. your journal entries are private to your account and accessible only by you. we use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
5. your rights
you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. upon account deletion, all your mood check-ins, journal entries, and personal data are permanently removed from our servers. you can also request a copy of your data by contacting us at hello@beeing.app.
6. children's privacy
beeing is designed for users aged 12 and older. we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. if you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through beeing, please contact us at hello@beeing.app and we will promptly delete that information.
7. crisis resources
beeing is not a substitute for professional mental health care. the 988 suicide and crisis lifeline is always accessible within the app. beeing does not monitor or respond to crisis situations — if you are in immediate danger, please contact 988, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
8. third-party services
beeing uses the following third-party services to operate:
- supabase — secure data storage and user authentication
- anthropic (claude) — powers mood pattern insights (your data is processed securely and not stored by anthropic)
- revenuecat — manages subscription billing through apple and google
- expo / react native — app framework and delivery
these services have their own privacy policies. we only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
9. cookies and tracking
the beeing app does not use cookies, advertising trackers, or analytics SDKs that track you across other apps or websites. the beeing.app website uses no third-party tracking or analytics.
10. changes to this policy
we may update this privacy policy from time to time. we will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. continued use of beeing after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
